SHC/LPCH Bargaining Update: Parties Gain More Ground on Seniority, Grievances, and Discipline

On March 24th, the Hospitals and UHW each provided counterproposals on previously discussed non-economic items. The parties are continuing to make progress on these items and there has been a noticeable increase of the pace of the last several sessions. We welcome the continuation of productive dialogue on these issues. The next bargaining session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31 at 10am.

The bargaining session that was tentatively scheduled for April 14th has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts among the UHW committee; however, UHW has stated its intent to use time during that week to meet with its committee members, in the interest of moving the bargaining along more quickly. We welcome such use of the time for that purpose.

We continue to approach these negotiations in good faith and trust that, with UHW, we will develop a contract that is in the best interests of both our Hospitals and our employees. For updates throughout contract negotiations, continue to visit www.StanfordPackardFacts.com.
